We are proud to share that Silent Yachts has received the MRH Innovation & Sustainability Award in the category “Blue-Green Technology/Innovation” during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) 2025. The award honors the most impactful and forward-thinking innovations from organizations that demonstrate genuine commitment to sustainability across multiple sectors.

This recognition confirms what we’ve believed in since the start: that solar-electric cruising isn’t just possible, it works. Silent Yachts was the first shipyard to build fully electric catamarans designed from day one to be powered by the sun, with solar panels, lithium batteries and electric motors working together as one system. These yachts can travel for days without noise, fuel, or emissions, offering a quieter and cleaner way to explore the sea.

The project addresses one of the biggest challenges in boating, the industry’s dependence on fossil fuels, and offers a real alternative in the premium yacht segment for a new generation of eco-conscious owners.

Silent Yacht 80 MRH Award

Built from the ground up for solar-electric propulsion, our catamarans are not retrofitted diesel hulls but purpose-built vessels optimized for efficiency, comfort and autonomy. With 24 units already sailing worldwide, Silent Yachts proves that sustainable yachting is not a vision for the future: it’s happening today.

The award also recognizes the scalability of Silent Yachts’ production model. At our shipyard in Fano, Italy, modular construction allows us to build several parts of each yacht at once, increasing capacity while keeping quality at the highest level.

We’re truly honored to receive this acknowledgment from Marine Research Hub, whose work supports innovation and sustainability in the marine world and beyond.

And of course, this recognition also belongs to our entire team. Their ideas, their passion and hard work make achievements like this possible. It’s a pleasure to be working together toward a cleaner, more sustainable future on the water.
